Unlike traditional public speaking programs, Speak Up! takes a hands-on, performance-first approach. Through the combination of Public Speaking fundamentals and drama, storytelling, improv, and performance-based exercises, students gain not only speaking skills but also confidence in who they are.

Josh Hatt
Josh Hatt is an instructor, program and curriculum developer with over 15 years of international classroom experience across drama, theatre, social studies, and critical thinking and communication. An international school educator who has taught on most continents, he has worked with students of all backgrounds and helped build programs that elevate both skill and confidence.
Josh currently teaches at the senior school level in Vancouver and holds a Master of Education in Teacher Leadership with a focus on curriculum development. Known for his jovial energy and global perspective, he champions student growth by helping learners build clarity, presence, and a more human voice. He works with students one-to-one and in small groups, supporting those who want to strengthen their delivery, confidence, and authentic communication. A proud dad of two boys, Josh believes the best learning happens when students feel seen, challenged, and empowered.
